Music titles became more decent (no sexual connotation), and the composers started to dedicate their music to people of the upper class, to high ranking members of the military, or to powerful politicians in an attempt to make this music more acceptable. 

Nightclubs replaced the bordellos and they offered good quality orchestras and singers; and had pianos, a key instrument that was introduced to perform this music at a more sophisticated level.

Tango had now a better image, a new taste, more decent lyrics, better instrumental players, who dressed now in tuxedos and had an exemplary behavior.

All of these helped making Tango more acceptable and respectable
